Tibia Forge Guide is a free fan-made site of calculators and planners for the game Tibia. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it. It is written to be read rather than to be impressive.

The short version: you can use almost everything here without an account and without giving us anything. If you create one, we hold your email address so you can sign in, and whatever you choose to save. We do not sell anything to anyone, we run no advertising, and we set no tracking cookies.

Using the site without an account

Every calculator, the Wheel of Destiny planner and the loot split tools work without signing in. In that mode we hold no personal data about you at all. Any comparison you save is written to your own browser's local storage — it stays on your device, we never receive it, and clearing your browser data removes it.

If you create an account

What Why
Email address To identify your account, let you sign in, and send you a confirmation or password-reset link. Nothing else is ever sent to it.
Password Stored only as a cryptographic hash by our authentication provider. Nobody, including us, can read it.
A verified Tibia character, if you link one Its name and world, and when it was verified. This is the only name shown next to anything you post publicly — a name you proved you control, by putting a code we give you into the character's Comment field on tibia.com. Linking one is optional, and until you do, your profile is visible only to you: the database refuses to return it to anyone else.
Your saved builds Comparisons and wheel plans you choose to save. Private to your account — the database refuses to return them to anyone else.
Sign-in with Discord or Google If you use one of those buttons, we receive your email address and basic profile from that provider. We do not receive your password, and we cannot act on your account there.

Verifying a character

To check a character is yours we read its public profile from TibiaData, an API that mirrors what tibia.com already shows to everybody. We send it the character name and nothing about you. The code you paste into the Comment field is visible to anyone looking at your character while it is there — that is what makes it proof — and you can clear the field once the check has passed. We store the character's name and world. We never see your Tibia login and never ask for it.

Who else touches your data

We run no servers of our own. Three providers process data on our behalf, and only to do the jobs described here:

That is the complete list. We do not sell or rent your data, we do not share it for advertising, and there are no third-party trackers or advertising networks on this site.

Cookies and browser storage

Your email address is never shown to other players. We set no advertising or analytics cookies. The site stores two things in your browser: your sign-in session, so you are not asked to log in on every visit; and your saved comparisons and language choice. You can clear both at any time through your browser, and signing out removes the session.

How long we keep it

Your account and its saves are kept until you ask us to delete them. Deleting your account removes your profile and every build saved to it. Anything you posted publicly may need to be removed separately — ask us and we will do it.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Brazil you have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, and receive a copy of it. Wherever you are, we will honour those requests anyway — it is a small site and there is no reason not to.

To exercise any of them, email contact@tibiaforgeguide.com. We will act within 30 days. If you think we have handled your data badly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13, and accounts should not be created by them. If you believe a child has created one, email us and we will remove it.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Saved builds are protected at the database level rather than only in the interface, so another signed-in user cannot read them even by going around the website. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected users promptly if we ever discover a breach.

Changes to this policy

If we add a feature that collects something new — a marketplace or a community area, for example — we will update this page and change the date at the top before it goes live.
